Did I miss something? Was there a reason that caused so many to be online at once? I didn't think the old *Most users online* from '05 (iirc) was very likely to ever change.
That's what I was thinking. Unless there's was some big Doom 4 news recently...but I suppose everyone here would already know about it before now if that were the case.
The more visitors the less likely UGO will shut this place down.

I don't think anyone here gives a fuck about Doom 4.
I think the ideal solution in that situation would be for the community to pitch in with donations to have a server run by member(s) of the community itself to keep it going.
Would UGO be likely to give any forewarning before pulling the plug?
