I could be mistaken, but aren't games like this a dime a dozen? I vaguely remember in the early 2000's playing some variant of the "charge up and shoot at a specific angle while compensating for wind" that was all online and everything. The name eludes me, though, and as a result I have no idea if it's still a thing.

I can't get the site to load, but I'm guessing based on the UI elements that this is the kind of game you're thinking of.

It would be really fun to play a modern version of it with sophisticated physics, lots of clever/strategic options etc. maybe even a bit of an economy, too.

That reminds me of this kick-ass game my friend and I used to play on my HP 28S during calculus class. Typing the program in by hand was a bitch but so worth it.

The most famous of those artillery games from the days of olde is Scorched Earth. The shareware version is pretty close to the paid one in terms of features, so it's fun to play with. Run it in DOSbox. It doesn't work at all on 64-bit versions of Windows, but it's about perfect in DOSbox (my cycles are capped at 60,000).

Here's an online Java-based one you can play in a browser.

That's one of those games that's less fun because it's 3D. Worms 3D has the same problem.

i played worms a few times like ten years ago. It was fun but I didn't get addicted to it or think to put it on my own computer. I want tank wars online!
