I've never used it, because the private messages I write are usually pretty personalized. But I suppose you could organize a private mapping team and communicate with everyone in a forum-like fashion. I'll have to do that someday.

How does one misclick on "add friend", anyway? The only button remotely close is "search" (posts). Is looking through people's post history that common?

Wow Doomworld finally told me I have a private message. All the way back from January.

No one currently. A few members have been added before though, such as Sodaholic and Maes and others I believe, but those were all misclicks. When I accidentally click "add buddy", I usually remove them afterwards.

Trying to simply move cursor over the screen via touchpad can produce an unwanted click anytime. Maybe even normal mouse, if you're hasty or cack-handed like myself sometimes. Devices with touchscreen allow an easy distant misclick as well, specially (but not only) if their screen is small like smartphones, as nobody is always paying attention to move his hand with perfect precision.

By the way, I have disabled touchpad clicks on my laptop, it was too uncomfortable. I prefer to disable whole touchpad, but it always enables back when I restart/sleep the computer.

I have a load of buddies over on ZDaemon for some reason, I guess it's mostly practical since it's a smaller community from time to time and I just want to join populated servers ASAP.
