If there is a Freeheretic, it's nothing to do with Freedoom. I certainly haven't heard anything about it.

There was some talk at Romero's forums, but I think it kind of died out early on. Kind of pointless anyway unless Heretic's sources get a license that's more compatible with a free set of resources.

I killed it because the source isn't Free.

I went on to do OpenArena instead.

To add pain to the injury, Sourceforge also rejected the project, and I had lost the Freeheretic files for years, so I couldn't resume it if i wanted to back then anyway.
