Take a look at this WAD. Play it with the original DOOM IWAD and just look around episode 1...

What I'm trying to prove here is that it's possible to make entirely new textures instead of cheap copies of the originals, and at the same time get a better result.

They look great :) as most people know I've been against the textures looking really close to the originals since the beginning.
