After a some time off (due to a monitor dying on me) I've finally got some inspiration going and I've restarted map03 again. Now I have a better idea of what the map will look like on a whole. I'll post some screenshots later tomorrow evening. After I fix a boo boo I made which caused all the walls in the map to become 2-sided! ARGH! @#&%# Waded... Map09... um... well...
