Do those websites allow illegal content? Because making your wad compatible with the shareware version of doom and having the maps all edited versions of said maps is most certainly illegal.

If you want to listen to the people who have already told you a ton of times how you can make a perfectly acceptable, legal version of this wad, there would be no problem with you posting it here.

Until then, though, your links are going to keep being deleted. We're not doing this to be mean or because we don't like you, it's because you're breaking the law, the Doom EULA, and our own forum rules.

It's illegal because it's made for the shareware version, not the registered version of Doom.

Also, have you ever considered being a comedian?

We're talking about graphics (motion capture, textures and sprites sheets) and audio (midi music and wave), what is wrong in ?...

This post is radically not for hell, made hours I spent to create 3 times archives to fit administrator demand. And still get claims.
This strongly need to be clarified by admin and not by random visitors.

Language will change nothing, we're talking about a procedure that I followed to make archive finally acceptable, what random visitors think is not creative, I'll focus only on admins notes.

Already got 2 mappers that wrote about the project to ask permission of use of the sources since there were introduced on Doomworld...

You "Zap610" can claim as loud as you can since February with your friend "Dutch Devil", that won't stop the fact that the project will continue to live as planned...

As far as I can see, the small file I downloaded is just some resources and a new E1M1 (not based on an id map). It may, or may not, run with the shareware version - just like any other resource WAD, depending on whether a port allows the -file parameter with the SW IWAD.

There is nothing particularly "OMG it runs with the shareware version about it anymore" and I didn't notice any id resources in the WAD. He has done what has been asked of him: removed the shareware levels and id material. It is no longer a mod for the shareware version. It no longer contains the id original material. It's just some resources in a WAD.

What's more, he has told people a number of times that he has fixed it. Yet people are still saying to him "OMG, why don't you listen, are you stupid, you are not allowed to make mods for the shareware version".

He knows. He fixed it. It's not him who isn't listening.

The version I downloaded earlier today from his link contained:

*clears throat*

One wad "for editors": this contained one map (the e1m1 that you saw) and all the Hokuto resources.

Another wad, for playing: this contained all the resources again, plus all of the e1 maps. I think it's a modified shareware IWAD.

Folders with all of the sprites, textures, sounds, and midis again (yes, that's three of each of them so far) as individual files.

"Sprite sheets" of every sprite object, these being all the frames arranged into one large graphic. That's now four copies of every sprite in the wad.

A "motion capture" folder containing every single photograph of models and figurines that was taken to create the sprites.

A "favorite tools" folder containing DMAUD, DMSOUND, DMGRAPH, and a batch file or two (presumably to install them or something).

A huge trailer that contains less than 2 seconds of actual gameplay footage.

He may have changed it since then, but that's what was there around noon today.

Ah, I assumed the others were speaking after having downloaded the thing, as I haven't myself. Guess it's not a good idea to just assume the common opinion is true.

Indeed. That's the one I didn't download because it was too big for me to get. It's also the one that (understandably) started people complaining. However, the link to it has been removed and he has released a much smaller "legitimised" version but people are still complaining about the old one.

You don't have to apologies, I'm not mother english speaking and maybe some of my notes were simply not perfectly understood or wrote.

Maybe Hokuto77 stay litigious, I'm not WAD expert...
So that's why I made a pack with only graphics and audios (and removed 1 year of french board).

Normally HND_KIT is valid, I get it from a mapper than told me have cleaned up the WAD.

Just discuss about what is valid/invalid or need to be changed and I'll act tomorrow on it.

Concerning TXT model, I picked up one and adapted to the project detailss.
I can additionnaly add the HTML help file with all explanations concerning the story, items, technics, paintings in the convertion.

What did you say about motion capture process ?... Same as here :

Enjay, that's bullshit, because this is made specifically to be run with the shareware to be a "free game". That is not okay. Whether some (unofficial) port allows any random resource WAD to be loaded with the shareware is completely irrelevant. He's already been told of what to do to really fix it and you are not helping by saying it is okay as it is.

A WAD needs to either use episodes other than the first, use resources that are not supported by the shareware, or at least stay clear of the DOOM trademark completely (such as using Freedoom).

We're telling you about the fact that you can't make WADs for the shareware. That's a basic rule for all WAD makers that we all follow here, and it's stated in the game's EULA that to make DOOM add-ons they have to be for the full game:

ID grants to you the non-exclusive and limited right to create for the Software (except any Software code) your own modifications (the "New Creations") which shall operate only with the Software (but not any demo, test or other version of the Software).
