Yeah because the Mayans didn't expect to last that long. Anyway judging from the fact that according to some groups of people in the world, it has meant to end every year since the year dot. Plus it's really not scientifically ethical to take fact from Mayan religious texts... It'd be like saying the earth is only a few thousand years old and backing it up with the bible. My point is that there is no mention anywhere else that the world is going to end this year, except those few extremist religious groups, you know who they are, and the Mayan calender.

Also, I've herd another myth that the Mayans where in contact with Aliens and they made a deal with them that on the 21st of December they're going to return.

But yea, I'll go with you on that one Stroggos.

There was also a race called the Sumerians and something similar to that was also meant to happen to them... But they never came. I would like to meet an Alien though... Just in case it does happen.

Relic, you really shouldn't double-post a minute after your last post. Only time I ever double post is to post an update on something, and those posts are at least days apart or more when the thread has gone down to the bottom of the board page or lower.

Is there something wrong with giving advice? Besides, it's not really as funny as my existing title.

As for the Doom community, I expect it to last a very long time.
