I'm too lazy to play through the entire thing in one go, but I have a write up of the first few maps for you to have a read through if you're in need of actual feedback as opposed to some of the white noise praise you're getting.

I have two particular complaints with Map 01: the first being the very lazily laid out hub that you have to move through in the second half of the map. Fucking bloat, much? I mean, there are some neat ideas going on here, but the first map for me should be an introductory piece that shows what I should expect from a map set. I honestly expected the red key door to lead to the exit, and not to a poor gimmickless Tricks & Traps effort.

Honestly, look at this:

That door is like taking a step in to a time machine back to 1994, and I expect better.

My second complaint was the monster usage, and this is a complaint I'm going to get out of the way now as it's prevalent throughout the entire demo. No, Demons don't work the way you think they do; and no, Mancubus don't work the way you think they do; and no, Cacodemons don't work the way you think they do. Honestly, this is some of the worst placement I've seen in a wad. If I have to enter another room through a 64 unit wide door and be flanked by two cacos at a flat level again I think I'm going to kill myself. Also, literally demons in turret cages. I don't even know what the fuck, man.

As for Map 02, at least that map was mercifully short. The architecture was nice, and the layout was much more coherent than in the first map. My only real complaint was right about here, though:

Yeah, I don't really know what to say about this. It's in a secret, so I'm assuming it was some dumb joke thing? I mean, it's April Fools after all. It gave me a giggle, so I can forgive a silly thing like this.

Maps 03 and 04 were too samey and my earlier complaints about the monster placement continue on here. I can see a lot of improvement in the layouts and progressions, and I appreciate the attempts at introducing looping layouts to cut back on backtracking. Honestly though, there's little here that stands out to me that I can't find in any of the other 50 thousand demo threads on these forums - my main advice would be to go back to the drawing board and flesh out some of the few good ideas you have, as opposed to just recycling them over and over in subsequent maps.

I never got around to playing through Maps 05 and onwards, but I may look at doing a write-up on everything else this evening maybe.
