Doom 3 crashes

Recommended Posts

I bought Doom 3 on Steam a few days ago, and it was running great until I reached EFD Junction 6, then after killing the enemies there, I turn around. Then the game crashes saying:

The NVDIA OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver and is unable to continue.
The application must close. Error code 8"

I have to open the task manager before I can Alt-F4 out of the game.

These are the system specs:

I really don't want to go back to the Xbox port because of how cut down it is.

You will find that the error message is telling you exactly what is happening. See if updating your graphics drivers solves it.
