Strange behavior with models

Recommended Posts

Well, I've been playing around with MD2 models today and an getting annoyed at a few things. I finally managed to get my model in (Just a cube for practice) but for some reason it keep going to 0,0 on the map no matter where I place it. So I tried making a new map and added another WAD that has models and was still getting the same result. Anyone have any idea whats going on here?

Ok, well I did finally get models working it appears there was a problem with my Zandronum config and for some reason the new builds from http://svn.drdteam.org/gzdoom/ are also causing the 0, 0 problem can anyone confirm I have provided a test WAD.

Edit: Tested on my laptop and the new GZDoom version was working it appears to be another issue I get a bunch of errors on the Init Shader so I'm thinking this most likely is the problem. Any ideas here - ok problem solved here.

Ya, I figured out that problem it had to do with out of date video drivers (of course) but I was still having some trouble with Zandronum which actually turned out to be a bad config (go figure). I seem to have the problems sorted out now anyways, I'm going to keep experimenting and learning more about using models in Doom and hopefully can make a tutorial since the information is very limited.
