I am VERY out of practice in making ZDoom stuff. Heh. Anyways, here you go. See if you can figure out where the name comes from.

I love it.

Wow, almost as insane as its filename, especially when the whole construction finally gets stuck on somebody's head and everything desynches.

I find that everything still seems to go up and down a few minutes after I stop playing it. =D I dunno why it crashes when you open the zip though, can't say I know about that particular hiccup. Also, I'll just say the desyncing is intentional: get out before te glitchiness catches yew! :P

Just a quick question: How many maps am I allowed to submit? I have one or two more I could finish and upload, but I'm not sure yet.

So I'll be submitting at least one map to this soon, along with possibly a few more, depending on how many wacky ideas I'm able to realize. And I have many. :P

Here's a preview - apologies if this doesn't look quite MAD enough yet. Rest assured, I will soon be injecting that aspect into it in spades. :P

Looks interesting. Maybe not MAD, but, of course, if you're creative, then MADness don't have to be limited to nonsense layout.

CatDoom is pretty insane. I had to cheat through the turbo-lowering floor, though.

I couldn't download your shootrev.wad, as it made me download another wad with the same filename instead (Shoot Revisited, some deathmatch map).

Got it fixed. Not only that, there are two more levels to add to the fun! (The levels are named "Too Many Pinkie Demons", "Former Self", and "Revenants of the Past")

(An important note: you absolutely need jumping and crouching to get through these levels)

Have fun!

@ Nixot: Normally I might be mad at you for making me play all that, but the music was catchy as Hell, and gave me some nice nostalgia for some reason.

IWAD: Doom2
Format: Vanilla
Difficulty: ***
[download]

The main weapon is a rocket launcher, so I tried to set up as many maddening engagements as possible, where fighting with such a weapon is difficult (dark areas, tight mazes, etc.). The map contains a secret area (that is visible from other secrets) and secret exit, but getting there should be a challenge. Hint: the entrance is in the maze, near the button.

basic hallway look

glowing bloodpool in secret area *shrug*

close-quarters maze

Hey, uh... *nudge nudge* Is this thing still a thing?

Anyway, here's my (very late) submission:

The Floor Is Lava

Demons have invaded your home and turned the floor into lava.

Your only ally is the furniture. ...And all the heavy armaments and medical supplies you have littered all over your house for some godforsaken reason.

Try and beat the par time! :D

Name: The Floor Is Lava
Music: "Jimmy Kane" by Muse (MIDI)
Port: ZDoom (Map Format: UDMF)
Build Time: Fuck knows
Requirements: Jumping, crouching, freelook, and possibly mad skillz.

Might still add a second (slightly shorter) area after you find the exit.

Hm, I might have missed this thing. Oh, well. Here is the thing I made.

It took me about fifteen minutes to make and feels like it. I wasn't sure if you wanted to maps to be good or not, but this one is just a joke about modern shooters. Also, I used ACS, but as you may be able to tell by looking at it, I'm awful at ACS. So, I really just used the "print" command.

You play as a guy named John Joeprotagonist who has to stop Iran World War 3.

I would like to make a level made mostly of goofy-looking doom furniture.

A doom furniture store, complete with different departments and unfitting elevator/shopping music.

Here is a Boom compatible joke map named Chong which was uploaded to my website but not released to idgames. Feel free to use it.

http://www.paulcorfiatis.com/jokewads/chong.zip

Uses the music from E1M1 (Stalker) of Duke Nukem 3D but the music is 1 semitone lower. Its pretty crazy, freaky, and a bit abusive.

Here ya go.

Satan's Hot Jam - It's is pointless, it is also slightly mad. You will require CC4-TEX and it's a ZDoom map. No screenies as I've giving nothing away - it short and sweet though (and pointlessly crap).

It needs polish, but you get the idea :)

Dave

Oh, the midi is called Spooky for those that don't know Dusty Springfield :)

Huh? This lives? Very good then! Give me some time and I'll check your submissions and start doing some... project-leader-y stuff.
