Memfis Posted December 13, 2013 horizontal autoalign -> you point at a wall, press "a", its alignment stays the same and DB tries to align everything else so it matches this wall vertical autoalign -> you point at a wall, press Shift+"a", its alignment changes to some other and looks totally ugly now??? edit: I guess I'm talking about DB1, in DB2 it seems more logical (the wall you're pointing at actually stays the same) 0 Share this post Link to post
Shadow Hog Posted December 13, 2013 Honestly, I just turn all affected walls into GSTFONT1 and align manually from there. Tedious, I suppose, but I've never really quite "gotten" vertical auto-align. 0 Share this post Link to post
MTrop Posted December 13, 2013 I never really figured out if vertical align worked or not. I still just follow the rule, "If adjacent sector's ceiling is lowered by X, raise that sector's texture offsets by X." Of course, that can be cumulative depending on what your reference wall is. 0 Share this post Link to post
printz Posted December 13, 2013 Vertical autoalign is very useful when you do floor/ceiling stairs. 0 Share this post Link to post
