Opinion from my own self is the fonts are too doomish, you know, big, blunt, and all bold :D

The weird mars light dealio on the left looks bad with black background. And yes, the font is't too great either.

Try something like this (or use it if you like it :P).

How about the classic Doom font, try not to rip of Doomworld as you can see the font is very similiar, is Doomcon hosted by Doomworld? Because if that's the case then the similiar font won't be too bad.
I'm afraid I have't got a clue what your logo is sorry.
