Something exciting and terrifying

Recommended Posts

Wouldn't really care if it where released on handhelds, some people would like it some people would hate it, as long as it's multiplatform I dont see whats wrong with Doom 4 on handhelds.

Goddammit, I'm excited now...

More on the topic, I don't think it will be released on handhelds. Those systems are nowhere near as powerful as home consoles, to say the least.

Uh Zenimax owns ID not Bethesda. I'd say it was ESO not Doom 4. ESO was pushed back 6 months. But hey let's jump on the OMG Doom 4 train. Its a bigger story.

Uh, yeah, they do. They own both.

Zenimax owns both Bethesda and ID. That makes them adopted brothers I guess. Wiki for ID Software says:

Type Subsidiary of ZeniMax Media; Limited liability

On June 24, 2009, ZeniMax Media acquired the company.

I REALLY hope this doesn't turn out to be Doom 4, seeing as it is being released on "last-gen" consoles like the Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3. This release obviously isn't taking full advantage of the modern consoles improved processing power. Using an already old engine like id Tech 5 while developing on old hardware could be yet another red flag for a shitty Doom 4.
