It's not every day that I see a map with height variation that pronounced and lifts that plentiful. Pretty much an obstacle course rather than a "normal" map. No offence intended, just in case.

@ Gothic: Maybe someone else could grab it and do gameplay edits.

Well I think I will add some health, others who have played the map complained about this too, but before doing something I wanted to wait for more feedback.

I'm sure, the only reason why I made this map was for the sake of filling space, no love was put into this map.

Thanks. You're right, of course. I was just trying to avoid having to change each brown pixel by hand and still keep the nice blood patches on the back wall. Ultimately, I realized if I can't keep the big patches, then none of splashes on the back wall make sense. So I cleaned the wall and re-colored all the brown pixels. It does look better.

Edit: Missed some brown pixels.

I updated my map: added some health, added some things to decorate a little more, fixed a misalignment. Link is the same of the first post.

Your version wasn't Doom-paletted, so I did that and touched up a few more pixels. I also noticed that the bottom two rows of pixels had converted weird for some reason, so I fixed those. I think it's done.

Edit: Or not. I just threw it into a temp wad as a titlepic to see how it looked. The outside parts of the blood pools, which I know to be dark red-brown, show up as brown. Is this a gamma issue, or did I load the graphic incorrectly?

Changes:

-Changed enemy placement in the towers (now you really have to worry about them).
-Changed placement of Chaingun and Super Shotgun.
-Minor Texture Fixes.
-Couple of added items/monsters for multiplayer.
-Teleport destination changes/shifts.

More importantly it's more artistically balanced, limiting the red to the two bloodstreams on either side of the pic, and the demon's eyes.

This pic is beautiful and makes me shed a single tear of horror.

Finished the beta compilation!

- DOWNLOAD -

- Added the Zakurum, pcorf, Demonologist, Egregor, Urthar, Pinchy, Marcaek and my upgraded maps to last versions

- Fixed the MAPINFO info bugs

- Added the Chris Hansen, EffinghamHuffnagel and Joe-Ilya skeleton zombie picture as TITLEPIC, INTERPIC and BOSSBACK picture, also added a D_DM2TTL from a midi called evil.mid (not sure about the author

- Removed the "Gothic's really late submission" map from the compilatian, as author wishes

- Added a sky transfer line function in "Drillbit Compression" map, also changed the MP3 file with a proper MIDI version of the track (found on BotB) file to make it work on boom

- Changed the blodgrx textures with the star portal in Corsair map as the author originally intended to do...

- Changed the music from "No Mayhem!" with "Dommin'" from Eternal Doom

- Changed the map list (it could be change in the next compilation):

- In pinchy's map "The way of Jadeamir" i found this untagged sky sectors:


Some other bugs in MAP17 and MAP30 needs a re-check from me to be fully proved about them...

Try converting the CWILV images to png in an external program before importing to slade. You can add transparency there too.

Here's an update that should fix the remaining issues.

The sky loads as AASHITTY when I test in PrBoom, I think its just a conflict with the resource format.

MAP21 has wrong music. It's D_COUNT2, not D_COUNT3.

Whenever I can, I try to play the rest of the maps. Can't make good comments, so gonna make demos. These I did just few moments ago, under heavy influence of alcohol. Expect my style being... whatever it is. (Played from map 1 to 9)

Sorry for the waiting, but since there's nothing more to fix on this...

MAYhem 1500 beta1 a

- Added Inkie, Zakurum, Marcaek, Armouredblood and pinchy fixed maps.
- Added EffinghamHuffnagel M_SKULL, CWILVs and fixed BOSSBACK graphics and MAPINFO + DEHACKED fixing, thank you very much! Also, the dehacked doesn't seem to work on prboom, i'll see to fix it in the future (or if any other can help me fix this)...
- fixed the music in map21

I don't know the mechanics of prboom, but there's a second DEHACKED in the wad, just before the MAP12 entry. Is prboom okay with multiple DEHACKEDs, or does it just use the last one it finds?
