Archaeo Posted November 5, 2002 What the hell is the difference between Texture 1 and Texture 2. Why would I Put a new texture in one and not the other. I feel that I cannot go on making textures until I know what the difference is. 0 Share this post Link to post
Mordeth Posted November 5, 2002 Try and rephrase that into something that actually makes sense? 0 Share this post Link to post
Naked Snake Posted November 5, 2002 I think he means he can't tell the difference between 2 textures and he wants to know what the difference is but I don't know. 0 Share this post Link to post

I’m using wintex 3.4 so most of you probably don’t know what I’m talking about. It gives the option to make a texture 1 or texture 2 texture. Maybe I should just shut my mouth and use wintex 4.3 instead. 0 Share this post Link to post
myk Posted November 5, 2002 Each texture lump contains texture information, there is two so that the designers could store the shareware only textures in one (1) and the registered textures in the other (2.) You can add info (new textures) to any of the two, it doesn't matter, doom (or whatever doom-based engine) will read both lumps at startup. 0 Share this post Link to post

I guess its back to work the textures for me. 0 Share this post Link to post

Are you making a Total Conversion, or are you making just a level or something? 0 Share this post Link to post
