There are DooM clans? I was hoping to get away from that sort of thing when I started DooM DMing online.

Believe it or not, a long time there used to be a Clans Forum, but Ling made it disappear. It wasn't around that long, and hardly anyone posted there, so...

There are a few, but these clans have negligible effect play-wise. They have more to do with people getting together to chat and sometimes play each other or make map sets than with inter-clan competitions. After all, DOOM doesn't have a team-play mode (and if I'm not mistaken teamplay is broken on zdaemon.)
