Doom in linux

Well this is a long shot, but i thought i may aswell ask.
Is it possible to play doom under linux without X? Possibly over ssh? :)

Heh. It wouldn't be possible over ssh, unless SMMU -textmode (if the linux binaries have it) actually works.

Sure, there are some graphic libraries that runs in console mode. And at least Vavoom can be played without X.
