Hey,
I'v heard bit and peices on people getting true 3d in DooM levels. I'v been working on it a bit, cant figure it out - if anyone has a tutorial or a link plz post, thanks.

The only ports I know that have "true" 3D floors are EDGE, Legacy, and Vavoom. There's a tutorial on how to do that on my site (here)

To supplement: Eternity has its "3DMidTex" feature (non-clippable textures and Z-height checking for objects) and in the near future, as they told me, also some sort room-over-room effect.

I think Vavoom is the only one with both true 3D floor over floor and slopes. ZDoom also has slopes but not the true 3D, but of course there are ways to fake it.

I believe this is the relevant thread. IIRC, this method doesn't require Boom - it also works in Doom2.exe.

Most people use close together mid textures and Bridge Objects to make things in ZDoom. For a pretty good example, check out Cyb's Helms Deep.
