djmj Posted December 17, 2001 I have tried and tried. But as soon as i got a "near" complete level, it crashed. Sooner or later. http://hem.passagen.se/studio14/xtra/misc/bug.jpg This error only happend when i made room inside a room. Please if you can help me out. -Started def "doom95.exe" without any glbsp compile, (insted of doomsday engine). -Worked as it should. All my errors is caused by glbsp compiler. deep Posted December 18, 2001 If anyone's curious, Glbsp has a bug if there are unused sidedefs or sectors (I think it's the former) in a level. I took this level and used the DeePsea error check to remove the unused elements (12 sidedefs and 1 sector). Worked fine after that. Hence my conclusion. 0 Share this post Link to post
cph Posted December 18, 2001 All my errors is caused by glbsp compiler. So either report the bug to them, or use another node builder. Whining here won't help :-). http://sourceforge.net/projects/glbsp 0 Share this post Link to post
djmj Posted December 18, 2001 But it did anyway, or didnt it??? -Dont say that iam whining if i ask for help. I thouhgt editing questions could be asked here at this forum. Do you say that i was acting wrong? If you did, who are you being rude to me? Yerk. Johan Sunnebjer alias djmj http://hem.passagen.se/studio14/ 0 Share this post Link to post
cph Posted December 18, 2001 There was a smiley by that line for a reason :-) My point was you answered your own question, and those are the two alternatives open to you. 0 Share this post Link to post
djmj Posted December 18, 2001 Sorry that i missed your smiley, iam not a chat-person either, thats why. But i dont get your point anyway. You said: (You answered your own question) That i didnt know, when and how if i may ask? The author's of the DeePsea editor has been nice enough to help me out in this issue. They have posted that info so others trying to use glbsp dont run into this problem. -And they where kind enough to post the solution as well. Jack at sbsoftware.com solved it in a minute. -That was very helpful for me, then i could move on. Iam not a little kid "whining" here. Iam a 3d-Level creator, who asked for help, and had the luck to get it from Jack him self. Thank you Jack..... cph Posted December 18, 2001 Nothing personal, but as the maintainer of BSP (not glbsp) I know the thing I want first and foremost is for people to report bugs to the author. They don't get fixed if we don't know about them. Maybe you already did report it to the glbsp people, like I said nothing personal :-). If not, now would be a good time, you have enough info for a useful bug report there already. 0 Share this post Link to post
deep Posted December 18, 2001 The "whining" comment was questionable, smiley or not. People come here for help. Many are new here. They assume that others may have experienced the problem and can help out. Maybe there's a new version, they did something wrong, etc. Just remember that when someone posts. 0 Share this post Link to post
