And I have to ask, what exactly were those wads? [/B] Lol. And a contribution: http://sl4.startan3.com/DOOM0098.png Some of you will probably recognize the wad this is from, but something's....different. 0 Share this post Link to post

Steeveeo Posted March 31, 2008 esselfortium said:{Quote of Steeveeo asking what the wads were} Lol. Well, y'know, not every single person here is an uberdoomer that knows what each and every single wad is just by looking at a picture, or tries really hard to stay up-to-date on these things. And Doom Marine, seriously, one post is all we need, edit as necessary... EDIT:Doom Marine said:All of my previously posted screenshots in this thread were derived from Deus Vult II. thanks Doom Marine, maybe I should go check that one out finally eh? 0 Share this post Link to post
Sinfis Posted March 31, 2008 exp(x) said:Not all monitors are equal. What looks terrible on yours probably looks fine on others'. Yes I know, but the Gamma Correction 0 is the default value, and that's why all the screenshots should be taken with that. It's more likely that most of the monitors have correct adjustments showing 0 gamma screenies fine than incorrect adjustments showing greater than 0 gamma screenies fine. By the way, what's that wad where the Esselfortium's contribution screenshot is? That looks cool. :o 0 Share this post Link to post
lupinx-Kassman Posted April 1, 2008 Here are some more screens: http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q17/Kassman_01/8.png Blowing up the reactor in Requiem map 8, too bad the level is so dark :P. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q17/Kassman_01/52.png A giant faucet in Marswar. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q17/Kassman_01/6-1.png This time a giant floating toothbrush in Marswar. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q17/Kassman_01/7.png One of my favorite doom moments due to the utter wackiness. Destroying Bill Gates at the end of Marswar. Here are some screens from my latest map Noob Project 5 Digital Highway. I noticed I never put any screens or even linked to them anywhere here on DW :P. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q17/Kassman_01/nprject5.png I was to lazy to retake the screenshot, but this is what I had on he front page of Vegkass for a while :P. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q17/Kassman_01/3.png 0 Share this post Link to post
Jim Rainer Posted April 1, 2008 Testing out my weapons mod: (Pressed printscreen a little late here) Just some stuff from a music wad/jokewad I put together: Titlepic: The only map in the wad(to see the real joke you have to play the level) 0 Share this post Link to post
printz Posted April 1, 2008 Well hell. I once made a program to flip the levels. It worked. But when I told the program to instead rescale the vertex and thing positions, the levels were destroyed. All vertices were colinearized into two lines, if I'm still right... and things were scrambled around. At least there are Doom editors able for all this trouble. 0 Share this post Link to post

deathbringer Posted April 1, 2008 pretty much every shot from steeevoooo Ok, you know how to make little transparent guns at the side of the screen and a pretty PNG sky, but that level looks pretty shit, just 90-degree squares of grass and badly-tiled wolfenstien textures, all at fullbright. I trust that's just a "zoo" testing level and not what will be released 0 Share this post Link to post

I trust that's just a "zoo" testing level and not what will be released Yeah yeah, I stopped working on the level itself over a year ago, its a weapons testing area/deathmatch thingy that I used to play with friends, and its just my monitor, its not at full bright, but rather at 144-192. Also, the transparent guns are stock with (IIRC) GZDoom's Alternate HUD. But please read the captions/comments I posted with the links, they were about the weapons, not the level. If you want to see the weapons themselves, I'll gladly send you the WAD after I tear out the MP3's I had lying in there :P 0 Share this post Link to post
Coopersville Posted April 2, 2008 Absolution. I wanted to get a better shot while I was playing, but things kept getting too hectic for me to stand still long enough. I'll try harder later, and post a good screen then. 0 Share this post Link to post
Steeveeo Posted April 2, 2008 Ok Deathbringer, this any better? (Did all this today, so its rough) http://www.freewebs.com/file-storage01/DOOM0008.png 0 Share this post Link to post
deathbringer Posted April 2, 2008 Now THATS a level, looks like it'd make a good "mystery" level where you turn up at an "abandoned installation" and don't get attacked straight away 0 Share this post Link to post

Stupid Bunny Posted April 3, 2008 It still looks really intense...it's placid yet ominous, and therefore very cool. :) 0 Share this post Link to post

I am using a huge chunk of the Project 64 emulation code to play the music... so unfortuently, expect that to show up in d64EX.. 0 Share this post Link to post
