Can Freedoom content be used anywhere?

I am currently making a weapon mod that may be used in a TC (I don't know yet) and I was wondering if I would be allowed to use some weapons from Freedoom in it. I will credit the author if I am told who made the sprites.

You're allowed to do that as long as you comply to the Freedoom license.

Right, OK Thanks, but it's not really clear who made what in the credits. In particular, I am using the Freedoom 0.3 plasma rifle and the Freedoom 0.6.4 super shotgun.

Just give Freedoom credit and paste the COPYING text at the bottom of your text file. I think that should work.
