Scet Posted July 15, 2010 Mr. T said:$30 a month See this is what I mean, 54Mbps for $30 is insane. 0 Share this post Link to post
maggot202 Posted July 15, 2010 Not bad. Also, two days ago was approved the law of network neutrality here in Chile, we're the first country in the world to do so :D 0 Share this post Link to post

kristus Posted July 15, 2010 Since I am a student I don't have the fastest offer but here's what I do got. (Tested to Aarhus in Denmark) and this is what I get when I try against Stockholm. 0 Share this post Link to post
Xtroose Posted July 16, 2010 Download: 3.92 Mb/s Upload: 0.50 Mb/s Ping: 33 ms Nominal download speed: 4 Mb/s Nominal upload speed: 512 kb/s I am quite happy with it except for stability issues, but this is due to dated infrastructure. They are upgrading it to optical, but it will take some time till it reaches my house. 0 Share this post Link to post
EarthQuake Posted July 16, 2010 Just for luls, my old service with Verizon ($38/mo): Versus my service with Timer Warner ($30/mo): Versus the wifi recently installed at my apartment complex (Free): Rofl. 0 Share this post Link to post
Siggi Posted July 16, 2010 This is how I roll: better than 56k! edit: I think I'm currently the slowest. :( 0 Share this post Link to post
DoomUK Posted July 16, 2010 My internets seem to be behaving themselves today, though it's obviously far from being "fast" by any standards. But quite often I can take these tests and barely achieve the 1MB/s mark. 0 Share this post Link to post

SaladBadger Posted July 16, 2010 Somewhat surprised at comcast's average rating compared to other companies. They've done some weird stuff to us in the past. 0 Share this post Link to post

Doom Marine Posted July 20, 2010 I'm more interested in latency (ms) than I am with download speed, as latency is more important in online gaming. 0 Share this post Link to post
myk Posted July 20, 2010 It looks like my upload speed got doubled since last time: 0 Share this post Link to post
GreyGhost Posted July 20, 2010 This is wacky - I'm currently getting a faster connection than I paid for. EDIT - CORRECTION: Internode now have their own hardware in the local exchange, so I've been upgraded from 1500/256 to either uncapped ADSL or ADSL2+ and the tyranny of distance is now asserting itself. I can boost my download speed by 2-3% by switching from Wireless G to Cat5 but I'm not about to go chasing the law of diminishing returns by changing to a wired network - digging a cable trench across the backyard to my study isn't my idea of fun, especially with 3 metres of concrete in the way. 0 Share this post Link to post
