Both. Ask people or if they ask for some testing, and when the first beta of the entire project is put together.

Map 17 is finished Structure wise. Just adding final details and tweaks. It should be playtest ready in a day or two hopefuly

I've had to muck around building my new computer, so I might be late with Map 30. Most of it is done, however. I'm just having a bit of "Builder's Block" in creating the final boss.

Map30 is complete. It is now sitting in your Yahoo inbox, along with my other two maps (latest versions).

EDIT: Also - a note to all testers: make sure you use a pure Boom executable to test these. It must work with vanilla Boom before all other source ports!

Actually, I would appreciate it if you sent that to me too, since there are a few small changes I would like to add to my level. Or maybe you could tell me what it is you changed, so that you don't have to send it?

Ahh sorry for taking ages, couldn't get online for most of the day. But anyway, I fixed a misaligned MIDGRATE texture near the secret exit. That was about it. It didn't look very nice.

I just noticed this, and yeah, back in the day when I first started my first solo project (that never actually got completed), I e-mailed both Tolwyn and Mark Klem and got their permission to use pretty much anything they've written for Doom (MM, MM2, Requiem, Strain, etc.), as long as they're given proper credit. I dunno where Mark Klem is these days, but maybe linking to Tolwyn's site (http://www.tolwyn.com/) in the credits section of the text file would be a nice gesture.
