It would be a nice new feature to move the texture of floor and ceiling around, like setting the offset of a wall texture.
My idea would be creating a thing called "texture mover" and have it 2 variables, xoffset and yoffset.

It came to my mind as you have to build teleporters to the grid and not like you want if you want to use the GATE* textures.

Another nifty feature would be stretching of textures, but for that we would need another map format. Maybee switching to build's .map?

True. And why not with all the fancy features in today's source ports?

Yep, ZDoom not only allows floor/ ceiling aslignments (though it's a bit more complicated than with walls), but also scaling (both up and down), and flats and texture to be used interchangably.

I would if i had a clue for what to look.
There is no thing called "move floor texture", neither is there a sector special by that name.

Try "alignment" and "panning" (seperately, not together). If you're still interested in scaling, that one should be a bit easier to figure out ;).
