well, everytime i try to run a deathmatch, the DM options that i turn on before turn of. how do i keep them the way i want it?

You can do it one of two ways:

You can either always use +set dmflags (dmflagsnumber) on the command line each time you run ZDoom, or put a line in autoexec.cfg that changes the DM flags at startup.
