I've been using a version of GZDoom (can't figure out how to get the version number, it was created on september 3rd) that (on my admittedly dated system) runs itself in Open GL compatability mode. The first version I used of GZDoom didn't have this and reverted to software rendering. Anyways, I just downloaded the latest version (1.14) and it looks like compatability mode was removed! What gives?

What do you mean? What exactly is happening?

Please list your system specs and post the startup log (you get that with '+logfile log'.)
