Sounds like it could be a menu that displays known enemies that the player has encountered and displays info, descriptions, etc.

It's just the normal DOOM II cast call code; however I have yet to put in the castinfo structure so we can find out precisely what object types it was meant to display.

I have started reversing the 1.1 demo exe but it appears to be unused there as well :< The code is almost 100% the same, very little is different aside from omission of a few things that were not finished yet (the graphical intro, obviously, and the ability to set voice volume are two of the differences I have found so far).
