When I try to start Simplicity with the current version of ZDoom I get this:

Execution could not continue.

Script error, "sp_simp.wad:MAPINFO" line 156:
Expected '{', got 'cluster'.

I looked at the MAPINFO In Slumped but I have no clue what ZDoom really wants there :/

Anyone got a clue?

Something has changed between ZDoom 2.2.0 and 2.3.1 to cause this issue.

I would recommend playing Ultimate Simplicity, an overhauled version of Simplicity instead. http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=15043

If you insist on playing the original, use ZDoom 2.2.0.

ZDoom is tripping over "EndGame" in line 155. A quick'n'dirty solution (which will force you to pistol-start episode 2, though I suspect that's what Spork had in mind) is to rename it "EndGame1" and in line 255 - try "EndGame2".

Why don't I have a custom title by now?!

Note that this was fixed somewhat recently.

But that'd require you to use a SVN version rather than the latest official. Compiled Win32 builds can be found here.

Thanks everyone :)

I think I will give Ultimate Simplicity a shot.

Just started playing Ultimate Simplicity and I have to say I like it a lot but it seems to have a rather big bug. For some reason the keycards do not get cleared after you finish a level. So in the 3rd level I still had the red and blue keycards from the getgo. Anyone know what's up with this?

I emailed Agent Spork about this, so I guess this is resloved for now, but feel free to speculate :P

Is it just me, or does the ammo count not appear in Ultimate Simplicity's HUD?

No, but whatever caused that problem has disappeared from SVN versions.

Yeah, the SVN works fine. Cheers. :)

It only shows the ammo count of the active weapon.

Which version of ZDoom are you using? I see that the Hud is missing the alpha stuff, so I guess it's an older version, right? As stated it runs fine in the current SVN.

Actually that's in r1739 which was current SVN yesterday. It does the same thing in an older r1673, and the 2.3.1 release (which is r1480).

I haven't tried under Windows, probably a Linux fail.
