So I tried playing Harmony in GZDoom when I realized: there's no light radius in GZDoom! Everything's just as bright close up as it is miles away. I don't know how I haven't noticed this.

So like, why not?

Otherwise he could have a look at e6y's fog lighting model and implement it in his port.

No, he couldn't. He'd have to ask Entryway's permission to relicense it first.

There is no demo compatibility because Chocolate and PRBoom have that covered just fine.

And there is planty of fog fading in GZDoom, and PLENTY of different fog options and settings.

Though the one you might want isn't in the menu, it's in the console:

Gl_distfog

Turn it up to make the light-diminishing more dramatic, with the cost of not being able to see.

Actually, there is - but it requires newer graphics cards with good shader support. But it's far less strong than what the software renderer has to offer.

The same reason there is no demo compatibility in GZDoom: the developer doesn't care.
Otherwise he could have a look at e6y's fog lighting model and implement it in his port. But then he'd need to put in r_fullbright, too. :P

I think some people should just keep quiet.

Using GZDoom makes you superior to everyone else.

Sorry to change the subject, but does anyone know a good value that's similar to software?
