I would like you welcome you all to the first ever session of Odamex Monday Nitro. In a nutshell, every Monday night at 7 p.m. CST the Odamex community will be hosting specific servers for people to join and play some good old-fashioned Odamex together. With this, we hope to give people the chance to experience Odamex with several players online at one time and see the potential Odamex has for being a fantastic Doom experience.

I'm just looking for a follow-up on this. How have the Monday night games been? Is this still on-going?

I gave Odamex a try last night and I like it so far. My efforts to get a game going didn't work too well though. I sat in servers for 10-15 minutes at a time, and also tried the IRC, which had 30+ members either all AFK or too busy.

Is Odamex pretty much just grab a buddy you already know and go play?

You could hide out in Midnight Central provided nobody decides to randomly reboot the server.

I tried Odamex and there was only one server occupied. I'll probably have to find out when servers are at their fullest.

Odamex is more of a "if people are in a server, I'll join it". Usually you just have to wait and people will join up pretty fast. Then you'll have massive 25 player games.
