The ZDoom-exclusive code does. There are many parts of ZDoom that are not derived from Doom, Heretic, Hexen or Build. That code falls under 3-point-BSD-like license.

Is this documented somewhere on the Zdoom site or in the source? I see the build license and doom license, but not the zdoom license

This is the so-called 3-clause BSD license, and is in the header of most of the files in the ZDoom source code.

Except for the node builder which has an additional clause that permits reuse outside ZDoom only under the GPL.

the latest legacy has "ACBOT".

Indeed, I recall that now as you mention it. Though I think it might actually be better than Cajun in many ways. I recall for instance how Rellik managed to make them understand how to travel up jump pads by doing a bit of level design trickery. (Basically, he made them think they were lifts and they would go for them, really worked out nicely. But of course the best thing would be if the support was added for them properly)

That aside though. Isn't there a source history of Legacy you can dig into and get the version before they removed the Cajun bots in favor of the ACbot?

That depends entirely on if and for how long Legacy has been ensconced within a version control system.

The use the subversion repository for Legacy 2, which was made 3 years ago. However the CVS repository has all the ancient stuff from 10 years ago.

If they properly imported their CVS repository into SVN, it would contain all the CVS logs and history too.
