DooMer 4ever Posted October 1, 2002 I thought that it would be nice to let everyone know which wads are worth playing and everyone should play. So the idea is that everyone tells of one or more wad(s), possibly tells why it is worth downloading, and where it can be found. The wad can be either from Doom or Doom2. And please tell us about DIFFERENT wad(s) every time! It's not nice if everyone writes the link to requiem or alien vendetta and so on. It would also be nice not to give link to your own wads. I got this idea when i read that have you ever played... thread. There were many who hadn't even played MM or MM2! So I start this thread by giving links to download biowar: It's a great wad, one of my favourites. ftp://3darchives.in-span.net/pub/idgames/levels/doom2/megawads/biowar.zip and Njtrain: It uses various zdoom effects and gives you a real train feeling! ftp://3darchives.in-span.net/pub/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/m-o/njtrain.zip 0 Share this post Link to post
Little Faith Posted October 1, 2002 Scientist's newly released Sci.wad Pure goodness, and it runs under vanilla Doom2.exe. Find the link over at his thread in the Wads and Mods section. You won't be dissapointed! Equinox.wad for sheer impressiveness. Skyewood.wad for sheer strangeness (unfortunately the music is fux0red). Skywater.wad to feel what ammo shortage REALLY feels like (only for veterans). Equinox.wad, Skyewood.wad and Skywater.wad can all be found at 3darchives. 0 Share this post Link to post

Draconio Posted October 2, 2002 ftp://3darchives.in-span.net/pub/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/s-u/sc.zip because it rocks, great music, 9 whole levels, large body count! (Zdoom only) ftp://3darchives.in-span.net/pub/idgames/levels/doom2/m-o/n4-evil.zip just because I took a liking to it way back for some reason, a bit on the easy side but heck I still like it. (Anything, although there are a few engines that won't play the music) Both are for Doom 2. 0 Share this post Link to post
