Yeah, The thing is, Stargate is based fairly strongly in egyptian themes. SO while the planet doesn't have to be egyptian styled, the theme would be there. I also agree that stargate may of played a part in creating dooms story, even if it WAS a minor part. (The Gates)

Actually, there is a stargate Doom and quite good one too. It's called Osiris and you can download it here:

No, If I remember correctly, Stargate the movie was 1992. I'll just check that.

Funny, I thought it was later than that, like around 1996 or 1997. I guess I was getting the dates confused with The Mummy.
