magikal Posted January 2, 2003 ravage said:Well of course. It's just so perfect. :P It is a great map, no doubt, possibly the best ever single wad imo. It's a certain style of gameplay though, not necessarily to everybody's taste. I think also it loses a large audience because it's not completable with Legacy, which is a real shame imo. Any possibility of a patch or something Fred? 0 Share this post Link to post

Afterglow Posted January 2, 2003 av & idunno were pretty much the only decent wads I can remember from the last year... As far as 2003 goes... well there's crudreams (stop laughing) and I'll be releasing a couple other things... maybe dmdjm02? Mordeth! 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted January 2, 2003 NiGHTMARE said:Here's another question: What are going to be the best wads of 2003? :) My next ZDoom wad! (only 30 levels and a ton of off-level stuff to go...) 0 Share this post Link to post
Chris Hansen Posted January 3, 2003 Opulent: "C_cooper will have something to say about this." Why on earth would you think that!? All I can recognize on your list that I have either contributed to or designed myself is '2002 ADO', 'CH Retro Episode' and 'Rip it, Tear it, Smash it!'. Personally my top5 would look like this: -Caverns of Darkness -One Bloody Night -Zort08 -Blinded by fear -Dark7 Being on the subject and following up on the good success of last years '2001 GDR' list, I'll soon have my '2002 Great Doom Releases list finished and posted on my homepage. 0 Share this post Link to post
Chris Hansen Posted January 3, 2003 And Opulent btw, I guess you already figured this out, however, you can put in a ;-) in the above post! :-) 0 Share this post Link to post
Ichor Posted January 3, 2003 Actually, you can edit your own posts and put that in, yourself. 0 Share this post Link to post
DEMOn Posted January 3, 2003 actually, I meant C_cooper would have something to say because of the 2001/2002 Best releases pages. :) I didn't think that those were all yours until later. COD was this year. damn nice. 0 Share this post Link to post

Erik Posted January 9, 2003 I don't remember what years stuff was released. But 5 very good pretty recent wads: AV Slayer Ruinbros Nimrod 2002ADO Look out for bldnight2 in 2003. 0 Share this post Link to post
DooMBoy Posted January 9, 2003 2002ado AV Those are the only two megawads that I've played that I really love and that pop into my mind. 0 Share this post Link to post
Scientist Posted January 10, 2003 Best wad of 2002? Scientist episode 1 & 2 :) What's gonna be the best wad of 2003? Scientist episode 3 :D I'm such an arrogant little bastard. 0 Share this post Link to post
Nick Perrin Posted January 10, 2003 Scientist said:Best wad of 2002? Scientist episode 1 & 2 :) Actually, I loved scientist 1. It played so well and deserves a place among the top of 2002. It ESPECIALLY rocks when playing with the very newest EDGE version of immoral conduct(just released half a week ago). In one of the town-ish levels you get a friendly bot, and sweet weapons, and the level rocks, and it's insane fun capping imps with your fellow dual-pistol friendly marine ripping inot the zombiemen. 0 Share this post Link to post

Fredrik Posted January 11, 2003 <Ebola> I think Vrack2 is the most impressive map I've ever played. <Ebola> Look at it in editor. It's technical perfection. 0 Share this post Link to post

kristus Posted January 11, 2003 Finally C-cooper mentioned CoD: I was reading th thread and wondered how long it would take for it to be mentioned.. and then Erik finally mentioned Nimrod and Ruinbros.. damnit :p my 5: Nimrod (of course I love it, I spent 4 years on it. Play past map01 bitches :p) Brotherhood of Ruin, I've been waiting for this for some years. (2-3) Caverns of Darkness , I've been waiting even longer for this puppy. Null space EAeuro03 codename hyena killermachine..... just kidding. :p 0 Share this post Link to post
Russell_P Posted January 11, 2003 Thanks for the compliment Ebola, but as mentioned above somewhere, Null Space was released in December 2001, so it's not really eligable for this list (the same also applies to that level that fredrick keeps pimping). 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted January 11, 2003 Russel. oh crap.. hard for me to remember when everything is released. well I'll say AV new version then.. so everyone is happy. eventhough AV in reality was released in 2002, I get technical and stuff and call the .. fsgodsgvui0av uihviu whatever 0 Share this post Link to post
