Heh, nice! I did something similar with chaingunners a while back. Made map03 pretty tough.

I like your Doom2 reinterpretaion of E3M8 too.

NICE.

That thing's a LOT more painful than the original Spiderdemon. :)

Two things, though: The railgun sound should probably be quieter at long distances, and when the Spiderdemon is on the opposite of the map from the player, his shots go way too high.

Otherwise, though, it's really well-done. :D

only in zdoom. it took me 44 when i tried a similar experiment in eternity, further evidence that zdoom has made the spiderdemon far weaker.

edit: actually i tried it again and did it 34 so i dunno :P

the spiderdemon is weird to fight in zdoom though, you can't get right up close to it anymore.

That actually made it a bit easier if you strafe real fast. With the normal Spiderdemon, even that wouldn't save you.

Heh, yeah, I was going to post something like that. Also, it seemed that each projectile took only 10 hp off. I don't know how that compares to how much a normal spider takes off.
