Hordes of Chaos 2 progress

Now that I'm done obsessing over Doom 3, I've been working on Hordes of Chaos 2 .. so far, Map 1 and 2 are 99% complete and play very well. Maps 3,4,5 aren't looking as good, progress is being made on Map 3 now. Map 5 should be easy enough .. it's the D'Sparil battle :P Map 4 will prob. require the most work, as alot of the areas in it are pretty wierd and hard to change around.

If anyone wants to test it out, PM me or something. Expect to see it released some time in September :B

Hmmm... That Baron of Hell in shot 4 looks like it was converted badly to the Heretic palette... Or is this about Heretic's light system rather than the actual palette? Either way, I think I speak for everyone when I say that this looks like a pretty good Heretic wad.

Doom monsters don't look perfect when converted to Heretic's pallete. Especially the Baron, since he's pink, and Heretic just doesn't have that shade. Could look worse, though :p The pallete conversion was done automatically by WinTex. It does a good enough job.

Cool. I'm looking forward to this one.

Sorry I've nothing more constructive to say. I'd just suggest that you're careful with the difficulty. Not many people have much experience fighting the Doom monsters using Heretic weapons, and consequently may, to start with, find the battles more difficult than they really are.

Yeah, the Doom and Heretic damage scales aren't quite the same. :/

Grazza : Skill 3 should be easy enough for most anyone, I'll try to keep Doom monster count lower here. Skill 4 will be pretty damn hard, and Skill 5 .. well, good luck :p

Darkhaven : I noticed this .. I'll just have to give the player more ammo to take out the Doom baddies.

Is this made in zdoom and will it use intensive scripting ? otherwise i don't really see the point of it :P looks real good though

EvisceratoR : It uses zDoom, and some scripting to trap the player and spawn in a bunch of monsters. zDoom is also used to put some Doom monsters in there, adding to Heretic's gameplay.

AgentSpork : There's always the evil of piracy .. you've allready got it on CD somewhere, go ahead .. nobody's watching :X

DooMBoy : I'm workin on it! :P Map 3 is taking alot of work, still doing that.
