Gothic 99.
I don't know about this drama, but for one reason it wasn't particuly loved- it was overdetailed (too much detail for those times really) and had rather poor gameplay.
IIRC the team used Gothic Texture Resource, but they were the former Gothic 2 and Gothic 1 team (partially) so I doubt Adel would mind if they used his resources. Strange.

afaik. Gothic 99 isn't removed from the net- and yes it of course used the gothic set of textures- a texture set that is free for all to use afaik.

Vrack3 and Nimrod are the best designed wads imo. Other wads have a lot higher fun-factor and replay value though, like HR, AV etc.

Also another good wad is mordeth imo. For some reason I like to play that a lot.

calling something best designed kinda depends on how chaotic you like... vrack 3 was too symmetrical, texturally consistent and well, just too boring, for me to even bother finishing. but i suppose i'm on the opposite side of the spectrum from most other people.

My favorite TCs, again in no particular order:
Hacx
Batman Doom
Action Doom

Keep in mind that there are many more wads that are of great caliber, those are just the ones I find myself playing the most often.

yes, but i can't mention as the best because its sooo good, of such high quality, that it simply cannot be compared to other wads.

soon, get ready for .nut files. Crazy.nut, insane.nut. thats it- im gonna start working on the nut editor. you can make from 1 to 5 rooms, and tell the editor the number of enemies you want in thousands, and it does the rest. In about 2 months time, get ready for topics like "the BEST Doom2 .nut ever!"

i actually meant the porn one, but i was just kidding anyway. i have no idea whats the best wad file. i'd probably say one of mine, but then i'd sound like a vain asshole wouldn't i.

I actually meant the time in Your sentence. RTC is naturally one of the best RELEASED wads, however this topic is named:"Best wads EVER".
If better wads will come out and the best will beat the best and it will beat the next best then we won't have the best wad EVER. Kinda weird :p We will probably only have temporary best wads.
My Point- IMO there are several In-Progress wads (like RTC Hub 2) that will surely beat RTC Hub 1, so we can't say it's the best ever, but surely one of the best wads. Dot.
