Favorite wad from the author

Recommended Posts

What is your favorite wad (so far) from each of these well known authors? (For the wad to be usable, the author has to have made at least 80% (4/5) of the wad's levels). Also, to avoid retyping the author's names, you can refer each author to the nomber I have before it.

1. Paul Corfiatis
2. Chris Hansen
3. Rex Claussen
4. Erik Alm
5. The Chaos Crew (Chris Lutz and/or Nokturnus)
6. Russell Pearson
7. Wad from several (at least 5) different authors
8. Favorite wad ever

1. Simply Phobos
2. CH-retro episode
3. The darkest hour
4. Scythe2 by far, but it's unfinished :P
5. Caverns of Darkness
6. Nulspace
7. Alien Vendetta
8. Varies, currently I like slayer a lot.

Admittedly, I haven't played everything by all those authors, and I might even tie some wad to them that they didn't actually make.

Edit: I hope to god that you didn't try to make an all inclusive list of good mappers. If you did, you missed about 95% of them, many of which are far better than the ones listed imo.

You forgot Anthony Czerwonka (Adelusion), Michal Mesko, Marc A. Pullen, Dan Tworney, Travers Dunne, and some other great ones
EDIT: Let's not forget Paul Schmitz, Chris Coleur, DIA, Lisa Moore and other TNT ppl :) and why did no one mention Fredrik, Zarcyb, Shaviro, Nanami, ellmo, Tormentor? see this goes to infinity *_*

Heh, it would be quite understandable if you called me biased, seeing as I'm mentioned in Hert's post, but what's with all the name listing? I see no claim in his post stating that those authors he mentioned are the best, etc. If he had made that claim then fair enough, but he didn't. It's just a list of some authors he may like or dislike.

I listed these authors because they were the main ones to pop up in my head, they are commonly known for, I like/love them all, and I didn't want the list to get overly long.

1. If I've played a WAD by him, I wouldn't know, because the name for some reason doesn't sound familiar.
2. Retro Episode.
3. Temple of the Ancients (with A Hex On You as a runner-up).
4. Scythe, of course.
5. Phobos Anomaly Reborn (never did get Caverns of Darkness working on my 98SE system).
6. Either Decade, Null Space, or Lego Base - it's a dead tie.
7. Requiem.
8. Galaxia! I wish somebody would make a modernized ZDoom version of it (or at the very least, a modernized version PERIOD)!

Why do you keep making these threads over and over?

Because they always begin with "so far" tense. I guess he thinks our favourites change daily...

I've never cancelled a project. Progress is just a little slow ATM, but I hope to have them all done by 2040.
