Maps 22, 23 and 24. I will make map22 and perhaps map24, too. :) So the project is estimated for release in June/July. It will also undergo a cooperative testing with 2 players before being released.

Yeah, when I drool and run around in circles I normally manage to look cool too. I also vibrate my head at mach 3 and flail my arms wildly, while babbling incessantly and unintelligibly. It makes it really cool.

Anyways, in eager anticipation (unnecessary redundant extra word) I am doing pretty much the aforementioned activity in a ritualistic dance to pass the time while waiting for WOS.

There are rumors from Kristian that work on Map22 has begun.

The layout of Map25: Vulcana is complete and its HUGE, with inspiration from Scythe and Deus Vult II. But completion of the level is still another week away. Now comes the hard bit with enemy placement and getting gameplay balance right and making sure the level is difficult. Its a very big map so alot of effort is required getting this damn thing right.

A new Map32 is going to be created to replace the old Map32 due to an unfixable bug related to Voodoo dolls when playing in Boom. No more info as Kristian would rip my guts out if I told everyone about the secret levels.

So what'll happen to the old Map32? Will it be a super-secret level like Map33 in Memento Mori 2? Or will it be released separately?

It won't be released separately. It will be moved into a new map slot and will be accessed from a secret exit in MAP32.

Work on map22 has started. I also wrote a new midi file for it yesterday, which is based on d_e2m2. :)

There will be a total of 5 secret levels in WOS. But 33,34 and 35 only work in Zdoom. Old Map32 has been moved into Map35.

Maps 01-32 work in Boom/Prboom as they are meant to.

All secret exits are difficult to find.

Map15 has a secret exit to Map31
Map31 has a secret exit to Map32
Map32 has a secret exit to Map35
Map35 has a secret exit to Map34
Map33 only accessible by cheat codes, idclev33, etc

Yep, a few bonus maps for people to play using the Zdoom port.

I could still and may work on a Zdoom only secret exit to Map33 though within one of the levels of WOS.

But so far the regular exits in 31,32,34 and 35 take you to Map16

I've got the new Map32 out of the way. Only 3 more maps to be with 2 more maps expected to be in progress by next month. I will work on Map24 and Kristian will work on Map22 leaving Map23 the last level to be made. An August release is most likely.

No new HUD. Just the good old doom2 one. :) Level names will be displayed in automap. Intermission screen level names will also contain the author of the map below them. :)
