I actually liked how flavorful the changes were (giving the warrior more hp and the mage less hp), but I don't get why the cleric uses a bow (a cleric is a sort of more magic oriented paladin to me, but not yet a priest).

I planned to /newstuff review it but I definitely doesn't have enough time, but I am under the impression the maps are there more to showcase the new added stuff than anything else. I'd be pleased to see big maps using that stuff :)

I see the cleric more as a crusader. He uses a bow, because why not, and he can't go berserk and be sure to survive, like the real Paladin, either.

Ok, well I gave up my newstuff review. Not enough time to write it, let alone play all of it, esp. since I don't really enjoy or "get" it.

It would have just ended up pooh-pooing the modified classes anyway. :P

Anyone else up for it?

I see a lot of people really hate this wad. I don't know I really enjoyed it, wished it was longer... It is certainly far more difficult than the original Hexen, but that isn't a bad thing IMO.

Just because people find it flawed, doesn't mean they hate it. I found it disappointing. Had expected a more game play oriented mod. But I'll still try to finish playing it.

Coolness. After that's all done with I can even go back through it and address remaining bugs / issues people didn't like and re-submit; no need to review a second time except for a slight mention how it's been 'updated.' :D

There are some 'straight bugs' like Saberclaws dropping ammo that is invisible and not used, and I COULD tone down the Dragon's hp by half, easily. But other things, like fallingdamage and health, might take more consideration. I COULD get rid of the 'running-while-injured' system of 40 health or below - I'll see what the final review says and make assumptions based on what the populace wants, lol.

As for the cleric starting with a bow - his mace sucked. Did little damage and felt the most standard of starting weapons. So the bow was a nice solution imho; a nice, solid ranged weapon that was 'different' than a Mage-like starter staff but still had its limits.

I'm curious about what the "Rune of Resistance" artifact actually does...
Does it give the character temporary invincibilty/immunity against certain types of attacks?
I remember using that artifact while fighting a Fallen on map#03. It seemed to reduce the amount of damage of the Fallen's attack somewhat, yet it was still possible to die.

And also, I've stumbled upon a bug: My GZDoom freezes whenever I switch to a weapon which has 0 mana.
