Alternative Speed! Project Thread

I have released a new map on IDGAMES recently however i had to upload today a fixed version because one texture was ABSOLUTELY wrong. I personally think i'll be hated once again by IDGAMES, who cares about hr23fix? I already asked TY to remove it but you know, we will have to wait a bit before it's removed off all mirrors (or at all). However i created a speed-map for vanilla doom in 8 hours, that's the map. I checked with Chocorenderlimits if it works or not (Thanks Essel). This map is purely a case of love, or hate because it doesn't look like anything in vanilla maps. Any kind of criticism accepted, I NEED it before moving on to E1M2. Thanks to HTH for finally pointing out what DIDN'T work properly

What is wrong with that one? It only raises Ceilings of teleports via Door Open Stay, now you don't deserve to be called a dumbass since you finally told which linedef is WRONG. Thanks. I changed the linedef type to 40 (W1 Ceiling Raise to Highest Ceiling). Fixed

It was nice, though one suggestion would be to add more areas where you are being attacked from more than one direction.

What areas you exactly mean or what monster spot? You mean the one with imps?

For example the platform from which you jump down to get the blue key was good: You had enemies both in front of you and behind that window to the right. Add more areas like that instead of just throwing monsters at the player from one direction.

It's okay. Ty often has to deal with much more annoying blokes that don't have a clue and repeatedly make the same mistakes, like not including a valid email address or using more than 8 characters for their file's name. Replacing a file is fine.

It seems that the doomed speed demo archive can function as another idgames (probably without needing things like ftp/email), as it accepts wads, though not sure if he wants to host every wad in the universe. (I think it already has dvii, which is the biggest file size wad I know of).

It hosts WADs when demos get recorded on them, not in general.

As you would expect, i'm doing E1M2 right now. I extended the time limit to 10 hours and i used 2 so far on this one. Here are some screenshots (WIP). So map's 20% done
