@Krispavera:Because my internet connection tends to get unstable whenever I try to upload a video to any video hosting website. I also do not have enough patience to wait an hour for a video to upload.

Tried both links and both failed.

Besides, I'm quite happy with the slideshow presentation. No one seems to appreciate how awesome they are anymore.

And who knows, maybe I'm wrong. But that's extremely unlikely because I'm always right.

well...., not all 30 maps. more like 24 maps. I will be uploading it elsewhere because I find uploading items the old fasion(using FTP as opposed to using a filehosting site) way to be too convoluted and difficult for my taste. I may yet make my own website in the future.
and my wad will be accessable to the public with a time of somewhere between 18 to 30 minutes. (the file size is 108MB) If mediafire does not spaz out on me.

I sent you a PM about some other issues with your wad, but if this is the first thing you see when you spawn in MAP01 it's not a good sign for the rest of your work, I'm afraid.

The texture worked fine for me, loading the wad with the community chest texture pack (that was in the zip file).

That's odd - I've tried various combinations of zdoom and gzdoom (both later revisions and official releases), and the only way I could get it to run with textures was with Skulltag.

Well, the author did state that it was for SkullTag not long after he first made this thread (his second post).

Oh yes, he did. I see that now after scrolling down the page. One would make the assumption that information on how to get your mod to run would be in the first post. My bad.

The sky is messed up, I get HOM everywhere. I ran it with the latest version of Skulltag with the texture wad.

All the enemies are way too strong, it's quite frustrating. Two SSG blasts to kill a raptor? Wouldn't be a problem if there weren't gigantic hordes of these type of enemies. This is made even more pointless by the multiple invulnerability spheres scattered around, since I was able to stay invincible throughout most of the fights. I also noticed that two of the enemies in the start didn't even work, they just stood there like statues.

It's not all bad though, I can definitely see good ideas in here. The Turok theme you've been toting is quite apparent, with the jungle base and the music, etc..

I definitely wouldn't call this final, you should go through some more testing and balancing before you release it for real.

Indeed, the teleporter to the arena at the end of the second episode is also lacking a teleport trigger rendering the map unplayable without cheats.

There are also quite a lot of unused monsters and weapons in the wad bulking up the file size, including every lump from the original Doom2.

Wow, you guys already played through all 22 maps? I only just finished MAP05 I think, and I think it's really good so far. I admit the crudeness of MAP01 kind of threw me off, especially the inescapable lava pit, but once you get down to the gameplay it's good. It was a bit weird to have the secret exit on MAP04 though =/ or are there more in each episode?

I'll keep playing in a bit, but so far you've surprised me, I didn't have a ton if interest going into this but so far it's looking good. A cut on the file size would probably be good though.

@Krispavera:Can you tell me which maps these glitches occured in? I am trying to fix them right now. I do not know about fixing the lump data problem. When I begun to work on my wad. I was under the impression that wads would not work right without some data from the game that the wad was design for. I can see now that assuption is incorrect, But I believe that making this wad was a journey in learing how to make doom wads. I will release a bug fixed version soon if anyone can tell me where they have encounted bugs. Although I can already tell that the task of reducing thr file size is going to be a pain in the ass, apon the ground that I do not want to sacrifice the quality of the music in my wad by replacing it with midi formated song of inferior quality. I would also gladly take advice on how to approach the removal of the DOOM2 data lumps and the unused enemies so that this wad may lose some cyber-weight (I.E filesize)

It seems that this bug only occurred throughout the first episode for me. As soon as I finished that, the sky worked fine. I've been playing further and I have to say that I was impressed by the later levels. The opening to episode 2 was really cool, and the icy look in episode 3 is pretty nice looking. I haven't gotten to the fourth episode yet, but so far besides the first episode, I've been pleasantly surprised.

The text file explicitly states that you should be running in hardware mode.

I had the same issue, switched to hardware, and the HOMs disappeared.

I've tried to download the updated version of this three times now, and each time I try to extract the main wad file, winrar tells me it's corrupted. Anyone else having this issue?

Yep. Using 7-Zip I get a CRC error.

I don't know if it's fixed or not, but the WAD file had all original Doom WAD resources, you should remove those if you are not modifying them...

I recently finished the first two episodes, so I thought I'd give my thoughts on them.

-Those Raptors are horrible. They are way too fast, and they take too much damage. They also don't go with demons. They are also underwater in Map 12.

-I've been playing this on UV, and the ammo/health balance is horrible. Sometimes there's more health and ammo then I know what to do with, and sometimes there's just enough to get by.

-But then you have Map 12 which doesn't have enough ammo at all, thanks to all the Barons crammed into the level. I eventually ran out of ammo, and I had to use console commands to give myself more.

-There's too many enemies. Sometimes there's so many crammed into one area that they get stuck. In the first map, there's a few enemies who are like statues and you can't hurt them.

-The wall leading to the exit in the Episode 2 Boss Level does not go down all the way. I had to No Clip my way through it.

-That level also has too many Megaspheres. One at the beginning is more then enough.
