"After Corvus defeated D'sparil, he entered the portal that was the entrace of the outerworlds, after a long time walking thru the unfriendly world, he find another portal, that leaded he to the world of Cronos (Hexen), after he awaken from the stun of portal travelling, he was standing before the Winnowing Hall, but wait! what are D'sparil's minions doing here? time to investigate!"

Ok guys! well this is my first map! (I Dont know if i posted on the right section) well basically it is Winnowing Hall (MAP01- Hexen) "Translated" to Heretic. i Used the original heretic textures and tried to maintain the level same feeling, i hope that i accomplished it! I deleted, changed or added some parts to make better for heretic

uhh, yeah. Am I correct in saying that you altered map01 of hexen.wad? If so, releasing it on here is illegal.

Nowhere in your post did you state this. And nowhere in the .txt file is your friend mentioned.

well my friend did an wad with winnow hall for doom, and i asked if i could use it to make a heretic one and he allowed that, and i forgot to put his name in the Txt :D

Well, illegal though it may be, I thought the transfer to Heretic was done pretty well.

One major flaw though: it is possible to simply walk past the stalagmites/stalactites near the blue key cave and miss out a large section of the map entirely.

Thanks, sorry for any incovenience, i will retire the link, but i will keep the screens. Thanks for the bug report i will fix it. i am working i a map of total mine creation, the Twilight Tower, soon when its ready it will be here! thanks again!

If that's true, then good. I was fearing you'd be another one of the guys who pop in and continuously announce fake releases, that's why I told you to remove that, trying to discourage you before too late. You can keep the link actually, as I'm not a moderator, and I don't know how much of that could be bad material.

...looking at the screenshots, it looks like you did a pretty good job converting the map to Heretic. What you did with it is, dare I say, pretty cool.

Hey, if you convert other maps between games just keep them as a study for yourself. Looks like the people on here take offense to a converted iwad level.

I care about licenses and stuff more than some people, but even I think this gets ridiculous sometimes.

Of course people take offense!

It's a matter of courtesy that what you post for them to look at not be a waste of their time. Crapwads are. So are maps that people fail to mention they ripped from some other place.

Expecting people to play, or to give the same level of feedback that they would for a quality, original release is pretty conceited.

Lordareonz just got ripped a new one like he is some kind of worthless, wad-stealing SOB. I don't think his intent was to steal Raven's map and claim it as his own creation. English doesn't appear to be his native language so I think there was some misunderstanding here. I think all he meant by this is it might be cool to play the Hexen Winnowing Hall in Heretic.

It would be one thing if he was acting like an asshole about it, but he's not.

If this thread were in source ports I'd probably have closed it because it's turning into a shit storm for no good reason. Everybody STFU about copyrights and shit. Nobody's making you download or play it. If you honestly think somebody's experimental map conversion of a map available in the demo version is going to degrade the commercial value of Hexen, you have something wrong with your brain.

That or you really just came in here to troll and use this stuff as an excuse. At least have the courtesy to complain about the map itself if you're going to complain. Don't deflect with "OMG STOLEN MAP" nonsense.

Ooppsss i think that i made a little mess, and you are sure, english is not my native language, i am from Brazil, and i apologize for any inconvenience that i may have caused! My intention wasnt to take credits for the map , i say here that it Is the Original winnowing Hall made by raven Software that i taken from the demo Iwad, i was unaware of the copyright problems when i posted it here. My Intention was ONLY Show how Winnowing hall would can fit perfectly in Heretic, and as a mapping exercise since is the first map i deal with! i Just re-textured the wall changed some sectors an add monsters and decoration,if i forgot to say something in TXT, i'm sorry becouse its my first map and i was "lost", i never thought that it would cause so much problems, If i offended you guys, i'm sorry! i Hope that this explains it all
