Well 2009 is barely half-through. I don't think a situation that involved less than 10 good wads for cacowards will happen unlesss community does pull it. Me? Basically. It's been not so long ago when i released Alternative Speed Demo. However i got stuck on E1M3 and lacked ideas for a fun oldschool map and i'm working on Dark Caliber 2 as well (Will take a long time to develop because i don't like throwing random design in this one). ALSO DON'T COUNT that xenus 3 will get finished until 2012 :P. Those are my plans so far, excluding skulltag stuff

styx seems to be on idgames and many other ones too, just search in the whole textfile if filename search doesn't give any results.

I found all of these by just typing the map name plus "idgames site:doomworld.com" into Google. Some are worth a play (ndmu, mapgame, 1024clau) some I have a differing opinion on.

Regarding different opinions, of course everyone has their own opinon. So if you don't like something I do then it's not problem.

Oh, and new addition to the list since a compiled it: The Great Bicycle Mystery 2.

This wad is built with coop in mind, but it's fully playable, and in my opinion, enjoyable, in single player as well. Thanks to TheCupboard for rereleasing this with improved SP balance.

Of course :) that's why I listed the ones I have played and liked, the others I haven't looked at or wasn't a fan of. Variety is good, things would be pretty boring if everyone made the same maps!

Just a note: these aren't necessarily all Cacoward contenders in my opinion either. In fact, some I highly doubt will ever get one (certainly not ones like Map Set #1 or Da Will, etc.). They're just episodes/megawads/multi-map series that I thought were good.

I'm not saying you're doing anything wrong; I just wanted to point that out. In fact I think it is good to give your top recommendations from the list; it helps give more detail.

If plutonia 2 is considered a 2009 nomination, then it definitely gets on the list.

Most 2009 wads that are long anticipated, and visually groundbreaking are close to completion - Whispers of Satan, Stronghold on the edge of chaos, Paranoid. If any of those get completed this year (at least WOS will), then those will ALL be instant cacoward winners
