Okay, I made a total-test of the final version.

E1M1: My map... already talked about it ;)
E1M2: Nice, no bugs detected.
E1M3: Goody
E1M4: Good map but 2 little problems:
1. the end is very easy if you just fly to the switch and then to the lowering platform. I didnt need to kill any monster and didnt lose one HP.
2. The sky texture repeats itself and you can see that. I would consider making a big wall around the final area so that you cant see the "sky beneath the sky"
E1M5: Too easy to finish if you do not want to kill many monsters. Did it in one minute.

And one little problem of the whole wad: the intermission pic still reads "valley of the kings" and not "valley of the forgotten"

Did you do this by landing after the lava area? So you save some of the flight power until the last room? I didn't think of that - even without it though, you can still just run through with invincibility. I don't think it really detracts from the player having fun - if they want to kill everything they have to work for it, if not they can peace out.

I forgot about the sky. Maybe I will fix that later today.

Haha I simply forgot to use the wings of wrath in the lava room so i still had them in the final area :D

Test it again and with those minor changes it still plays very good(thank you Walter for fixing that texture problem). Also why is that Firemace on the beginning of e1m4 only appears on hard difficulty but on easy and normal, you don't have it and there's still ammo for it?

That Firemace actually appears on all skills. The Firemace however only has a 25% chance of appearing on a map and can only appear once regardless of how many Firemace pickups you place.

OH, REALLY? No, because i think it was some zdoom bug, not a stuff from the game itself....

and wait for public release right now... just finish few things and i upload it...

25% chance of appearing? Are you sure about that it's not the other way around? I've noticed the Firemace to spawn more often than not.

If I'm reading the original Heretic source correctly, the game first does a P_Random check that if 64 (essentially 25%) or lower and also, if the game mode is not Deathmatch, doesn't spawn the Mace at tall.

If P_Random is greater than 64, one Mace will spawn on a map if there is one or more Mace spots (the game randomly chooses a spot from all the ones on the map).

In short, there can only be one Mace present on a map in any game mode. But in Single Player and Co-op, there is also a 25% chance that no Mace will be spawned at tall. I mistakenly said there was a 25% chance of the Mace appearing in my earlier post.

Yeah, that was a typo in the doc. The description for A_SpawnSingleItem shows that is was indeed 25% chance of not appearing.

(PS: the ZDoom wiki is self-hosted, it's not on Wikia. Which is a good thing: no ads, no retarded Monaco skin.)

Actually, the ZDoom wiki incorrectly stated that the Mace only has a 25% chance of appearing, where as it's actually got a 75% chance of appearing.

Gez has corrected that since I made my post above ;)

I remember this sillyness and had to make a special non-default Firemace for Hordes of Chaos. Otherwise it would just randomly not be there #$%!

I just put it in secrets in all my maps except for the last where it's easily accessible. But it's not in any way necessary to win against the boss.
