I think this is a good idea, but it is to some extend a chicken-and-egg problem: until we have good examples of code that generates interesting maps, we have no material to create a graphical article on. I hope that some of the stuff I am doing could feed into something like that. There are some other examples. Perhaps if I could get the ball rolling...
