Original gameplay with custom content

Does anybody have any recommendations for wads with completely custom textures, monsters, sounds etc. but with the original doom gameplay and level design?

I think epic2 would be a good example.

Just today I played the first level of Batman Doom TC. I'd doubt if the level design is like original Doom, and the aesthetics sense definitely isn't, anyway try it and get your own opinion. You need to run it with the enclosed .deh patch.

Freedoom, Hacx and Chex Quest are good but I was thinking of actual doom wads that contain a lot of good sprite work, animations, sounds and textures.
