This morning, I took part in a Swedish radio show called "Ring så spelar vi" (literal translation: "Call us, and we'll play") where people can call in every saturday morning and request songs, as well as answer questions to win prizes. I played the game online earlier this week to qualify for the show. An hour ago, I woke up to a telephone call from one of the producers of the show, who let me know I'd been chosen to participate. Anyway, it was a very nervous experience, and the topic wasn't my area of expertise exactly (knitting!) but I got the question right, and won a gift certificate for CDs. :-) The song I requested, by the way, was "Pinball Wizard" by The Who. Has anyone else ever participated in a TV/radio game show? How was the experience? Did you win anything? |

What if a guy named, say, John President, was a guest on a banquet to which the president had also been invited... would you still call him 'Mr. President'? I can imagine there could be some confusion. |

Yea, verily: Who is that, prowling along the tundra! It is Kristian Ronge, hands clutching a vorpal blade! And with a bloodthirsty bellow, his voice cometh: "I'm going to smack you until you can no longer smell pretty things!" (Source http://bdmonkeys.net/~chaz/battle.php) |
